A wedding card with a difference.....

For anyone who follows my blog you will know that I went thru a Civil partnership with my wonderful wife almost 4 years ago. My relationship with Sam was what really got me into crafting... The reason?? cards for gay men and women..

I have been with Sam for 10 years this August and buying her a card (before crafting) was the hardest thing to do EVER!!

Cards either had pictures of men and women, or boy bears and girl bears....etc...not the best when you are two girls lol!!

Well at our wedding we got a lot of cards, - unfortunately we had about 6 of 3 designs (which were horrendous gay cards) while the others mostly had boy/girl themes...hmmmmm...

So I started making my own cards. But I still found it hard for the two women cards - I usually used cakes, wedding bells etc until now!!!

I was surfing ebay (as you do) and I saw the cutest Tilda pageboy image...PERFECT!!

So here is a card I have made for some very special friends who get married in July...

I just love it!!

I have glittered bits of her dress and veil and the flowers on both images..
They are coloured wit Copics
The papers are bella bleu by stamping up

I'm entering the ladies into the following challenges:

one stop craft - Wedding and DT call

stamp something  - Celebrate something

by the cute and girly - Celebrations

totally papercrafts - Weddings/ Anniversary

Thanks for looking xx

Just to share....my team member had a civil partnership and I made her a card with the image of two girls....from the toilet door signs!! Do you know what I mean....sounds hideous when I put it like this...they were silhoettes of the signs on ladies loos! Hey ho - she loved them and asked me to make another one for a friend of theirs! Just thought I would share
