When is a challenge a challenge???

Well it's a challenge when you have to use something that isn't for card making - and that is this weeks challenge over at Inky Impressions lol..

So what did I use that isn't for crafting???

Yes I wanted to distress my card and I wondered if nail varnish would work lol...

What a totally fab weekend. Belle was 2 on Saturday and we went to the farm... it was ace!!

Then there was cake...

Yep I made this bad boy lol...

Well operation Belles 'big girl bed' seems to have been a success so far!! 

We did have a few mishaps - well the main one is that she likes to get undressed in the middle of the night - nappy and all lol.. but now she goes to bed to sleep!!

Celebrate good times.....

Oh yeah you will be singing that all day now lol..

So we still have lots of snow and it is still snowing lol... Belle loves it!! We have built snowman and been sledging and had snowball fights, but best of all we live with a river out the front of our path so snowy walks from the house have been a daily occurrence!!

So onto today's Inky Impressions challenge. This week we want to see your celebrations cards - Birthdays, Valentine's, Mothers day, new house/job/baby... the list is endless....

Now Belle has had Scarlett fever since last Thursday. This is like horrendous sunburn (red skin and the skin is burning to touch) along with throat and ear inflammations, so she has been very clingy... so much so she wanted to sit with me to make my card lol... so Belle stuck the flowers on (with guidance - she is only 21 months lol) - and you should have seen her face in my craft room - the door is usually closed due to scissors etc... but we do a lot of glittering and painting etc in her play room so her eyes lit up... think I am gonna need a lock on there lol...

when will it snow???

Now I know winter is here as it's getting cold (yes I did say getting - I am VERY warm blooded and still haven't started wearing my coat yet lol.. I think Sam gets colder just watching me walk around in my cardy lol..

I have also started cooking winter foods - Stew, casseroles and shepards pies etc...

And we wrapped 95% of our Christmas presents on Sunday - we would have done 100% but I ran out of paper and tags lol...

But for me it does not seems like winter until I have some snow......

So it did put a smile on my face when I saw this weeks INKY CHALLENGES theme was snow or winter

Hmm.... I used one of the Digi backgrounds for this one... and went VERY c&s

so here is a new bauble..

hmmm the photo does not do it justice... it is sssooo sparkly lol!!

This is Marissa's sleigh ride (a digi from Inky!!)

So - I got a plain bauble and glued the image to it - after colouring it lol. then I covered the image and bauble with Modge Podge and covered it in glitter snowflakes
